Barkworth takes helm at the Reebok stadium

Bolton Wanderers today announced a new manager in a press conference with local and national journalist; the man is none other than former Sheffield United manager Ash Barkworth. Barkworth known for his ability to turn small clubs into mid table premiership sides after getting the Blades up to 9th in the premiership will be looking to do the same with Bolton.

    Barkworth’s Profile
    Age: 19
    Favourite Club: Sheff Utd
    Hometown: Sheffield
    Best ability: Transfer dealings

Barkworth is said to have jumped straight in to the market and has already completed a deal with Arsenal FC, with the Trotters signing young Danish striker Nicholas Bendtner with Fabrice Muambe going the other way. Barkworth is said to be tracking a number of other players including Andrew Surman of Wolves and Javi Hernandez of Manchester United.

Of course, it's the main aim for us this season, the only worry is the resources currently available means we have to chop and change at the moment in the transfer market but I remain confident that we can compete.
