The light blue adds a bit more light and colour to the site while the layout changes with the main body of the post being to the left hand side while the member is on the right hand side. However we think it looks better like this and already …

Today Arsenal can announce the signing of young and very talented defensive midfielder Vincent Kompany from rivals Manchester City. The young Belgian is set to join up with his new team mates in a few days time. The deal to bring Kompany to the Emirates will see Frenchman William Gallas leave the club. Arsenal are upset to be losing Gallas but are delighted to be getting somebody as talented as Kompany in return.

    Player Profile:
Full Name: Vincent Jean Mpoy Kompany
    Age: 24
    D.O.B: April 10th 1986
    P.O.B: Uccle
    Nationality: Belgian
History: Kompany began his career in 1992 as a youth player for Anderlecht aged 6, he stayed in the youth system until age 17 in 2003 when he made his debut for Anderlecht. In his 3 years at the club he played 73 games and scored 5 goals. He then in 2006 moved to Hamburg and made just 28 appearances in his 2 year stay scoring just 1 goal before making a move to Manchester City in 2008 making 64 appearances scoring 3 goals. In 2010 he then signed for Arsenal and so far hasn’t made any appearances due to the transfer being just days old. Internationally he was called up in 2004 and has since gone on to make 32 appearances scoring just once.

Now we are due at a press conference with Sky Sports News’ Georgie Thompson.
Georgie Thompson: So Vincent whats it like in the big city having been living in a relatively smaller area called Manchester?
Vincent Kompany: Its different but i am enjoying it and look forward to a long stay here
GT: Why Arsenal when there are so many other teams?
VK: They spoke to City and were very interested so it must be a good move if they were desperate to get me.
GT: Do you think you can help them off the bottom of the table as they seem to be having a lot of bad luck in matches lately?
VK: Yes i can help but the guys that are there are amazing players i’m just adding something a bit different.
GT: Your very confident aren’t you to say you haven’t played for them yet?
VK: Confidence comes naturally as a footballer you need to be confident or youll never be a great player.
GT: Its nice to see such a confident young man, do you plan on staying at Arsenal long term or just using them as a stepping stone?
VK: Yes i am here for the long term i don’t believe a big club should be a stepping stone i hope to stay with this club the rest of my career.
GT: Right thank you Vincent hope to speak again
    VK: Cheers
